MONTREAL — The mate, the skipper and their five passengers aren’t spared as Biphoria takes on Gilligan in its new title, ‘ Gilligan’s Bi-Land ‘ — the studio’s inaugural presentation of a Jim Powers creation, and a shipwreck story where nobody seems in much of a hurry to be rescued.
The premise
This movie, directed by Jim Powers, is a bit steamier than the sitcom ever dared. It takes the fan-favorite castaways out onto the island and lets them explore their deepest desires and threesome fantasies. For the movie itself, head to Biphoria.com.
The casting leans into the archetypes everyone remembers: Michael DelRay as the goofy, lovable Gilligan; Nickey Huntsman as girl-next-door Mary Ann; Colby Jansen playing the hard-nosed Skipper (who calls himself Hawaiian Joe); Lauren Phillips vamping it up as Ginger; and Joel Someone as the Professor, with Dale Savage rounding out the cast.
“ There was never a person that didn’t want to see Ginger, The Professor and Skipper mix-up or even Gilligan finally getting his hands all over Mary Ann,” says the company.
The parody tradition
Sitcom parodies are one of the adult industry’s most durable formats, and directors like Powers have been working the vein for years. The formula works because the source material does half the job — audiences arrive already knowing the characters, the costumes and the running jokes, so the parody gets to skip straight to the question the original show could never ask out loud. A three-hour tour, seven castaways, one island and no chaperones was always going to be irresistible material.
For Biphoria, the pairing also marks a first: this is the brand’s debut presentation of a Powers production, hence the “inaugural” billing. More studio announcements and new titles are collected in our releases hub, and you can follow the featured cast through our performers section.
